The History of SEGRO and Vailog in Italy
Vailog was founded in 2003 as a company specialising in logistics real estate development. The first major development was the creation of the Castel San Giovanni Logistic Park.
2003 - 2015
Between 2003 and 2015, Vailog built more than 1,500,000 sqm of real estate within the main Italian logistics areas, such as: Milan, Castel San Giovanni, Piacenza, Interporto di Bologna, Rome.
In 2015, SEGRO acquired 90% of Vailog
Since the year of the acquisition, Vailog has built an additional 2,000,000 sqm of new Grade A logistics properties dictating the new technological and sustainability standards of the industry and consolidating its national presence also in additional strategic areas such as: Novara, Turin, Verona, Venice, Florence and Naples.
April 2023
SEGRO acquires 100% of Vailog, which becomes a fully integrated part of the SEGRO Group.
